Reflection on underlying beliefs in coaching

Reflection on underlying beliefs

Why bother to discern Underlying Beliefs?

To gain awareness about how we behave and why; to use this to understand past patterns of behavior that disempowered or
empowered us.

With this new insight, what would be an empowering action to take?

An action outside the limiting (old) beliefs

Why is knowledge of an Underlying Beliefs helpful in making constructive choices?

As we gain understanding we can have a better perspective that will help us take action (on unwanted or limiting beliefs) outside these beliefs that will bring new and better behaviors, this way creating different results in our lives.

What is the role of Underlying Beliefs in the coaching process? . . . .

What is the role of Underlying Beliefs in the coaching process?

Help to explore new opportunities with clients as these “limiting Beliefs” were holding back the client success and by understanding the Underlying beliefs the customer can challenge them and bring new thoughts and behaviors to his/her life.

What role do your Underlying Beliefs play in your coaching?

Will help us, as coches, to get access to our own limiting beliefs. Obtaining the opportunity to challenge them and bring positive change to our own lives.

Will teach us how to go about this change and have a better understanding on how our clients could feel during their discovery and will teach us how can we help better with this process.

What are some questions you could ask your client when they are feeling unable to visualize their success?

This will help focus our question in a way that they can see or able to reflect on their self emotions.

Some questions such as;

Do your thoughts create emotions that are empowering- feelings of joy, excitement, love and gratitude?

Or do your thoughts create emotions that are disempowering- feelings of fear, frustration, sadness or anger for example?

Also we can recommend some tools or tip to keep them focus or to visualize better their goals or vision with activities they can do such meditation, write, etc.
