My reflections on Creating Awareness

Feed back, Role Playing and Awareness

What is the purpose of feedback in a coaching situation?

Feedback is a way to help a client to create awareness. by providing objective feedback, It will help the client to realize how he is reacting thru body language, tone of voice, emotions, etc, that are difficult for her/him to pick up by themselves and not being “aware”. This aspect is in my opinion one of the best contributions of the coach to clarify ideas, thoughts, behaviors and believes that will help the client to “uncover’ options to achieve the objective of the coaching work.

What are three situations you might encounter as a coach in which role-play could be useful?

What are three situations you might encounter as a coach in which role-play could be useful?

These are situations in which a client maybe afraid of dealing with something and by ‘practicing’ with a coach will have immediate feedback on how he was able to addresses the “theoretical” situation  and can even explore how he felt during the process and this can be look at to use or change as the client experience the “real” situation.
